IJIN INDIGO IMPROVEMENT IDEOLOGY

Ijin Material applies the philosphy of On-ko Chi-shin to all jeansmaking techniques. This is a Confucian proverb, adapted by the Japanese, which means "by asking old things, know new things" or in contemporary jargon "respect the past , create the new".
In times of uncertainty, it is healthy to refresh knowledge gained in the denim field, take a sabbatical & go back to the drawing board to relearn.
Children have no fear with regards to learning & are known to be able to acquire information at an incredible rate. Using this mindset, Phil Ijin decided to regress, inorder to review & improve the art of Ijin jeans-making...... with a little help from one of the junior Ijin staff.
The humbled approach to indigo expertise is founded in the fact that one should never think that they are too old to learn something new.
So , if you thought you knew all there is to know about denim, take a modest step back, close your eyes & take another look, preferably through the eyes of a child , with no in-built preconceptions or prejudices.
Ijin irregular indigo items : available for all free thinking denim affecionados of any age.
